Why Josh Grispi Is not a Fluke
WEC’s Josh Grispi is on a ten fight win streak! This man hasn’t lost a fight since 2006 ( knock on wood ). With an impressive 14-1 Record this featherweight is bound to make a statement! Just 1 year and 2 days younger than yours truly, Grispi is doing all this at the tender age of 21. Josh made his WEC debut against Canada’s own Mark Hominick whom he submitted in the first round. His last 8 fights haven’t made it out of the first round, making him a force to reckon with, and giving him his nickname, “The Fluke” . After defeating Hominick his next task was then 9-1 Micah Miller who he TKO’d 50 seconds into the first round! Next, Grispi is truly tested by the organization facing former UFC Lightweight Champ Jens Pulver. Even though Grispi has an impeccable record, Pulver ,with 14 years on Josh, was still the favor. With a Bum ankle and all odd against him Grispi went in like a Warrior. To Pulver’s dismay he was guillotined 33 seconds into the first round making Josh Grispi a household name. He then returned to the cage after a year off due to ankle surgery, to face IFL vet L.C. Davis. He then defeated L.C. via that crazy guillotine in the first round maintaining his win streak. I’d like to safely say that a title shot is in his near future. Not only does Grispi completely deserve it , he could break the record for youngest belt holder. After all is said and done Josh Grispi isn’t a fluke, he’s really kicking everybody’s a**!

Nice article. I train with Josh at South shore sportfighting and he is probably the nicest kid you will ever meet. Doesn’t even watch MMA when its on. Just fights whoever they give him. Kid would rather talk about fishing then fighting. I hope a title shot is in the near future he is one talented kid.

That’s awesome! Nice to know there are still some REAL people out there! He comes off as a down to earth dude :) I hope he fights on the same card as my husband at some point so I can watch live!
